Imaging-Resource.com demonstrates three of the autofocus modes in the Olympus E-520 Live View mode, as well as the IS mode and onscreen menu system. Note that the camera’s sounds are amplified by the proximity of the recording camera.
With the E-520’s Live View, you can shoot your subject while viewing it on the LCD monitor, so it’s just like shooting with a compact camera. In addition to phase-difference detection AF, the E-520 incorporates a high speed Imager AF that offers easy 11-point multi-area autofocusing with Live View simply by half-pressing the shutter button.

John Isaac talks on his photography and the image quality of Olympus E-3 profesional Fourthirds system dSLR camera. John Isaac is an award-winning photojournalist and author.
John Isaac a 30 years veteran of United Nations, he retired in 1998 as UN chief of the Photo Unit.
In 1994 after returning from back-to-back stories in Sarajevo and the ethnic war in Rwanda, John had a nervous breakdown. During his sick leave John decided to pack his cameras and lenses and swore that he will never touch another camera again. In one spring during this period a butterfly in his backyard changed John Isaac. The beauty of the butterfly prompted John to unpack his camera. John Isaac is now a professional freelance widelife and nature photographer.
The Olympus E-30 is the newest addition to the interchangeable-lens digital SLRs (single lens reflex) within the Olympus E-System lineup. This new 12.3-megapixel, FourThirds-compliant camera reinforces the company’s commitment to the standard. Positioned as a mid-level model, this new digital SLR camera is intended for anyone who wants to express their creativity through photography, whether they are just starting out or are a professional with years of experience behind them. The E-30 is a camera that has the speed of the E-3 and the freedom to express oneself with a variety of new creative features, from Art Filters that will let you control the way the image looks from a grainy black and white film to exaggerated colors. From the ability to shoot traditional multiple exposures in Live View for a wedding photographer, to the untraditional multiple exposure of the artistic, the E-30 is the camera for the creative shooter who wants to think differently and shoot in new ways.
